Metallurgical Corp. of China (SHA:601618) or MCC's attributable profit surged 177% year over year to 2.68 billion yuan in the third quarter, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Earnings per share at the construction engineering company increased 160% year over year to 0.13 yuan.
Operating income fell 14% year over year to 113.8 billion yuan.
Shares rose nearly 1% during Wednesday's trading.
