Ericsson (ERIC) said Tuesday it has entered a five-year partnership with MasOrange to integrate Orange Spain and MASMOVIL's networks, advancing Open RAN in Europe.
The partnership will allow MasOrange to strengthen its network capabilities and competitiveness by leveraging Ericsson's high-capacity, cost-effective, and energy-efficient Radio System and Core solutions, Ericsson said.
Starting in October, the project will run together with the rollout of Ericsson-powered 5G Standalone across in rural regions of Spain, Ericsson added.
