Sega Sammy Holdings (TYO:6460) said its latest game, Sonic X Shadow Generations, has surpassed 1 million units in sales after it was released worldwide on Oct. 25, according to its filing on Monday with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The game combines Sonic GenerationsTM, featuring Classic and Modern Sonic, with the new Shadow Generations, where Shadow navigates dynamic environments.
The storyline revolves around the Time Eater, leading to separate adventures for Sonic and Shadow, offering players distinct gameplay and narratives.
This title supports 12 languages and was promoted globally to expand the Sonic IP through various media and merchandising efforts.
