CK Asset (HKG:1113) and CK Hutchison (HKG:0001) will jointly invest in carbon sequestration projects in Australia, The Standard reported Thursday.
CK Hutchison's biotechnology unit CK Life Sciences (HKG:0775) obtained leases and related rights for about 350,000 hectares of agricultural land in Australia for the project, the report said.
The size is three times larger than the entire land area of Hong Kong, the report said.
CK Life Sciences will manage the regenerative agriculture project, according to The Standard.
