Singapore stocks finished marginally lower on Friday, tracking overnight losses on Wall Street driven by sell-offs in the technology sector.
The Straits Times Index fluctuated between 3,524.33 and 3,556.29 throughout the day. It ended the session at 3,555.43, down by 0.1% or 3.45 points.
In corporate news, shares of Olam Group (SGX:VC2) surged over 14% after the company received a non-binding indicative offer from the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment for a stake in the Olam Agri Business.
Uni-Asia Group (SGX:CHJ) was down nearly 2% even after its wholly-owned subsidiary, Uni-Asia Capital, won a bid to develop and operate a private finance initiative project in Japan.
