GXO Logistics (GXO) said Friday that the UK Competition and Markets Authority referred the company's acquisition of Wincanton for an in-depth phase two investigation.
The investigation can be avoided if GXO and the regulator agree on acceptable undertakings before Nov. 15, according to the company.
GXO said it is reviewing the decision and will work with the Competition and Markets Authority to reach a "positive outcome."
