0727 GMT - Clariant is well-positioned to improve its results, amid an economic upturn that will boost its solid operating leverage, Vontobel analyst Sibylle Bischofberger says in a note. The Swiss chemicals company confirmed its midterm outlook at an investor event and defined three focus areas of energy transition, sustainable health & consumers and recyclable materials. After a series of disappointments, the new business model offers potential for surprises, the analyst says. "Management has worked hard to transform the company into a focused specialty chemicals business and has laid a solid foundation to significantly increase sales and profitability in the coming years," Vontobel says.(helena.smolak@wsj.com)
