Appian's (APPN) shares were up 5.4% in recent early Thursday trading after reporting Q3 non-GAAP earnings Thursday of $0.15 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $0.20 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.08.
Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $154.1 million, up from $137.1 million a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $152 million.
The company said it expects between a Q4 non-GAAP net loss of $0.03 per share and breakeven. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $0.05.
Revenue for the quarter is expected between $163.5 million and $165.5 million. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $164 million.
The company said it now expects a 2024 non-GAAP net loss of $0.35 to $0.38 per share, compared with its previous guidance of a non-GAAP net loss of $0.52 to $0.61 per share. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect a loss of $0.55.
The company now expects 2024 revenue of $613 million to $615 million, compared with its prior outlook of $610 million to $615 million. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $611.9 million.
