SNDL reported a narrower loss in the third quarter while revenue came under pressure from softer liquor retail sales.
The Calgary, Alberta-based, New York-listed liquor and cannabis company on Tuesday posted a loss of 19.3 million Canadian dollars ($13.9 million), compared with a loss of C$21.8 million in the comparable quarter a year ago.
Revenue in the period fell to C$236.9 million from C$237.6 million, driven by market softness in the liquor retail segment, which offset strength in its cannabis retail and operations segments.
Liquor retail same-store sales decreased by 5%.
