Federal Realty President, COO Berkes to Exit

Federal Realty Investment Trust said Friday that President and Chief Operating Officer Jeffrey S. Berkes will exit the company.

Berkes will leave the real estate investment trust company effective Dec. 31. Following his departure, Chief Executive Don Wood will take on the role of president. The COO position won't be filled.

Wendy Seher and Jeff Kreshek will continue leading the company's eastern and western regions, respectively, will continue in their senior operating roles and report to Wood. Jan Sweetnam, the company's federal chief investment officer, will focus on acquisitions and development.
