Hainan Airlines (SHA:600221) and Air China (HKG:0753, SHA:601111) placed orders for airplanes from Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China at the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, YiCai Global reported Wednesday.
During Airshow China, Hainan Airlines ordered 60 C919 large passenger planes for its unit Suparna Airlines and Urumqi Air, another Hainan Airlines subsidiary, ordered 30 units of C909 aircraft, according to the report.
Additionally, Air China pre-ordered the wide-body C929 aircraft, which is still under development, YiCai Global wrote.
Shares of Hainan Airlines closed 7% lower Thursday on the Shanghai bourse.
