Manulife Financial (HKG:0945) President and Chief Executive Officer Roy Gori plans to retire on May 8, 2025, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

The board has appointed Phil Witherington to succeed Gori and join the board of directors. Witherington is currently the CEO of the company's Asia segment and had previously served as the company's CFO.

Gori will continue to serve as an advisor post-retirement until Aug. 31, 2025, the filing added.
