Virscend Education (HKG:1565) reported a profit attributable to the owners of 45.0 million yuan for the year ended Aug. 31, a 39.5% increase, compared with 32.3 million yuan in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Earnings per share were 0.015 yuan, compared with 0.0110 yuan from the year-ago period.
The company's revenue was 955.1 million yuan, a 25.3% increase, compared with 762.3 million yuan in the previous year period.
The Board has resolved to recommend a payment of a final dividend of HK$0.0025 per share and a special dividend of HK$0.005 per share.
