Metro Mining's (ASX:MMI) optimization activities at the Bauxite Hills mine in Queensland resulted in the mining of 895,012 wet metric tonnes of ore and shipments of 782,672 wet metric tonnes in November, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
A new daily transhipment record of 35,976 wet metric tonnes was set in the past month, while mining activities were increased to provide buffer stock for this month, the filing said.
The company plans to ship over 6 million wet metric tonnes by year-end, contingent on weather and operational fluctuations this month, according to the filing.
Shares fell nearly 2% in afternoon trade Tuesday.
