Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund (TYO:9284) reported a shortfall in its solar power generation for November, achieving 14.46 million kWh, or 86.48% of the forecast, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The weak performance was attributed to low irradiance mainly in Kyushu area and increased curtailment.
The CS Kama-shi's plant performance was below expectations, but full power generation resumed on Nov.19 after addressing partial PCS failures caused by lightning in mid-August.
If monthly power generation at any plant falls below 70% of the forecast, the Fund will still receive basic rent from the lessee.
For the month, the fund's total forecast generation was 16.7 million kWh. Despite the shortfall, the total power generation for the fiscal year, as of November, reached 108.2 million kWh, with a CO2 reduction of 47.3 million kg-CO2.
