Morningstar said Friday that it raised its quarterly dividend by 12.3%.
The Chicago-based financial-services firm said it boosted the payout to 45.5 cents a share from the prior 40.5 cents.
The new payout, equal to $1.82 a year, represents an annual yield of about 0.5% based on Friday's closing price of $358.02. The dividend is payable Jan. 31 to shareholders of record as of Jan. 3.
The company's last dividend raise came about a year ago, when it lifted its payout by 8%.
