Ecolab increased its dividend to 65 cents from 57 cents.
The new payout, equal to $2.60 a year, represents an annual yield of about 1% based on Thursday's closing price of $247.98.
The St. Paul, Minn., company, which provides water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services, said the higher dividend will be paid Jan. 15 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 17.
