Chongqing Iron & Steel (HKG:1053, SHA:601005) repurchased 66,838,500 A shares as of the end of its share buyback program on Thursday, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
The iron and steel manufacturer bought back the shares at between 1.02 yuan and 1.08 yuan apiece for an aggregate amount of about 69.8 million yuan, the filing said.
Shares rose 1% during Friday's trading.
