Lindblad Expeditions Holdings has hired cruise industry executive Natalya Leahy to succeed founder Sven-Olof Lindblad as the helm of the expedition cruises and travel company.

Lindblad on Tuesday said Leahy, who most recently served as president of Carnival's ultra-luxury Seabourn cruise line, joins the New York company as chief executive on Jan. 1.

Sven-Olof Lindblad, who has been CEO since founding the company in 1979, will serve as board co-chair with Mark Ein, who will continue to serve as co-chair and lead independent director, the company said.

Lindblad also on Tuesday said it named Rick Goldberg chief financial officer, effective Dec. 31.

Goldberg, who currently serves as finance chief of Founders Table Restaurant Group, succeeds Dyson Dryden, who stepped in as interim chief financial officer earlier this year when Craig Felenstein left to join Sportradar Group. Dryden will remain a member of the board.

Lindblad said Leahy will receive an annual base salary of $600,000 and an annual bonus with a target of 75% of her base pay per annum, while Goldberg will receive an annual base salary of $475,000 with the same bonus target.

Carnival reported Leahy's planned departure last month.
