Xinte Energy (HKG:1799) agreed to purchase 49% of the equity interest in the thermal power generation company Xinjiang Zhundong Tebian Energy from Xinjiang Tianchi Energy for 1.51 billion yuan, a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

Upon completion, the target company will not become a subsidiary of the company which will hold 49% interest in it.
