Digihost Technology (DGHI) and Nano Nuclear Energy (NNE) said Friday they have partnered to bring carbon-free nuclear energy to Digihost's 60 megawatt power plant in upstate New York.

Under the agreement, Nano Nuclear Energy's small nuclear reactor technology will be used to provide clean, steady power for Digihost's data centers and digital asset operations, the companies said.

The use of advanced nuclear energy, such as portable microreactors like Zeus and Odin, will be supported under the partnership, the companies added.

With the nuclear energy system expected to start operating by 2031, Nano Nuclear will support the optimization of Digihost's current gas-based infrastructure, provide guidance on regulations and project planning, and supplement a smooth transition to nuclear power, according to the companies.

Nano Nuclear Energy's shares were up about 2.7% in recent premarket activity.
