China Railway Signal & Communication (SHA:688009, HKG:3969) signed a cooperation agreement with Vietnam Railways to develop the Southeast Asian nation's railway system, according to a press release by the Vietnamese government Wednesday.
Among the areas both railway companies will cooperate in are planning, technical consultancy, and training for information and signal systems, Vietnam's government said.
Vietnam Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said his government will study the addition of three new railway routes connecting both China and Vietnam and more urban rail systems in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh.
