China Uptown Group (HKG:2330) said Pang Chung Fai Benny resigned as the board's chairman to devote more time to his other commitments, effective Dec. 18, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

The company is yet to name a successor for Pang to be the next board chairman.
