According to Sygnum Singapore, this is the first actively managed crypto fund to be offered on a digital wealth management platform in Singapore, for accredited investors.

Accredited investors will now be able to invest in Sygnum Singapore’s Digital Asset Multi-Manager Fund (DAMMF), a fund of funds that invests in crypto assets through Moomoo Singapore.

This is the first actively managed crypto fund to be offered on a digital wealth management platform in Singapore for accredited investors, according to Sygnum.

The digital asset firm licensed in Singapore and Switzerland, says that its DAMMF invests across both top-tier established and emerging investment managers executing liquid crypto hedge fund strategies.

Gerald Goh, co-founder and CEO Asia Pacific, Sygnum, says that the partnership with Moomoo Singapore is carried out with the intention of gaining strategic access to Moomoo’s regional and global user base.

The partnership between the digital asset firm and brokerage platform comes amid the crypto bull run, fueled by optimism in the industry following the approval of the Spot Bitcoin ETF in January, and the victory of pro-crypto US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

“There exist different options to invest in the crypto asset ecosystem, ranging from market-neutral yield strategies over directional exposure to venture opportunities. Investing in a fund could help accredited investors manage the risks of this still young asset class more effectively,” says Goh.

Sygnum Singapore says that the key value proposition of a multi-manager fund is to provide investors with access to scarce crypto investment talent, in a nascent investment universe, via a disciplined investment process.

On risk management, the digital asset firm says that its strategy is primarily centered on manager evaluation of the investment process before investing into any single manager. To this end, funds tend not to react to bouts of short-term market volatility, taking assurance instead in the quality of the underlying managers/strategies and their ability to manage risk and capitalise on periods of market volatility as opportunities for generating returns, Sygnum Singapore notes.
