** Brent crude drops 1.3% to $72.90 a barrel, while U.S. WTI crude falls 1.4% to $69.64 a barrel, as Chinese economic data renewed demand concerns while investors remained cautious ahead of a U.S. Federal Reserve decision on interest rates
** Energy majors Exxon Mobil and Chevron , both, drop 1%
** Shares of ConocoPhillips , SLB , Halliburton , ONEOK and Coterra Energy are among the top pct losers on the energy index, down between 1.3% and 1.7%
