Retail investors are net buyers. Trading volume is thin ahead of the Christmas holiday. Memory-chip maker SK Hynix is 0.8% higher, tracking its U.S. AI-chip making client Nvidia's rally. Shipbuilder HD Hyundai Heavy Industries rises 3.9%, leading a broad rally among local shipmakers. USD/KRW is 0.1% higher at 1,453.25, compared with the prior session's Seoul onshore trading close.
