Boab Metals (ASX:BML) said it has received approval from the Western Australian Government for key amendments to the company's Sorby Hills Project's existing approval under the Environmental Protection Act (EPA), according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The amendments allow for increased open pit depth, higher mining production rates, and reduced capital expenditure through optimized water management and infrastructure rationalization, the filing said.
Boab Metals aims to finalize regulatory approvals and target a final investment decision in the second half of 2025.
Shares of the company jumped 10% at market close.
