Boston Beer (SAM) Chair Jim Koch's wife, Cynthia Fisher, will inherit his controlling stake in the company, the couple said in a Wall Street Journal report published Wednesday.
Fisher is currently a Boston Beer director.
Meanwhile, Boston Beer's sales in US stores, excluding liquor stores, were down 3.8% by volume in the year ended Nov. 30, according to the report, citing a Bernstein analysis of NielsenIQ data.
Koch told WSJ, however, that he has no plans to retire soon and is not worried about the company's declining sales.
Boston Beer did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
