China Eastern Airlines (HKG:0670, SHA:600115) launched the first flight of China's homegrown C919 aircraft between Shanghai and Hong Kong, marking the aircraft's first flight outside the mainland, Yicai Global reported Thursday.
The flight departed Hongqiao Airport in Shanghai on Jan. 1 with about 160 passengers, the report said.
Hong Kong is the ninth city to be served by the C919, the report said.
Shares fell 2% in Hong Kong during Friday's late afternoon trading.
