Consumer stocks were higher pre-bell Monday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) up 0.3% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) up 1.1%.
Smart Share Global (EM) shares rallied by 45% after the company said its board has received a preliminary non-binding proposal from Trustar Mobile Charging and affiliates to acquire all remaining shares of the company that they do not yet own.
Walt Disney (DIS) and streaming provider FuboTV (FUBO) are nearing an agreement to combine their online live TV businesses, Bloomberg reported, citing sources familiar with the discussions. FuboTV shares surged past 220% pre-bell.
Alico (ALCO) shares were up 14% after the company said it is closing its Alico Citrus division to shift its focus to diversified land usage and real estate development.
