Trimble (TRMB) said Monday it has extended its technology partnership with Qualcomm's (QCOM) Qualcomm Technologies unit to support the supply of precise positioning services for automated vehicles.
The expanded deal covers the integration of Trimble's precise positioning engine, Trimble ProPoint Go, with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF Gen 2 platform, Trimble said.
The company also said vehicles with the joint solution will likely be on the roads by 2028.
