SingPost (SGX:S08) responded to an article published by The Straits Times which referred to the company's plans of selling certain assets, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Monday.
Responding to the article titled, ""SingPost can potentially offer a 'significant' special dividend after sales of assets: Maybank" date Jan. 3, 2025, SingPost responded to a potential sale of Famous Holdings which could raise proceeds between SG$80 million and SG$100 million.
The company reaffirmed its strategy to monetize non-core assets to recycle capital, to reduce debt, support investments and return value to shareholders.
The company confirmed the proposed sale of SingPost Australia Investments which is subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming EGM in February.
