BlackRock Launches New Bitcoin ETF on Cboe Canada

BlackRock has launched a new exchange-traded fund in Canada for bitcoin investments.

Cboe Global Markets' Canadian arm said Monday it has listed BlackRock Asset Management Canada's iShares Bitcoin ETF, which seeks to reflect generally the performance of the price of bitcoin.

The fund invests all or substantially all of its assets in iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, which in turn invests in and holds substantially all of its assets in long-term holdings of bitcoin. Cboe said the iShares Bitcoin ETF will allow investors to gain access to bitcoin in their brokerage accounts.
