Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies (WAB) said Tuesday it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Evident's Inspection Technologies division for $1.78 billion.

The purchase price will be around $1.68 billion after tax benefits, Wabtec said.

The transaction, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, is expected to be finalized in H1.
