Real Estate stocks advanced past 1% at midday Wednesday, following engineering construction data.
Australia's seasonally adjusted construction work done rose 3.3% in value terms to AU$34.95 billion in the September 2024 quarter from the prior three-month period.
Ingenia Communities Group (ASX:INA) now expects earnings before interest and taxes of AU$162 million to AU$165 million, up from its previous target of AU$148 million to AU$155 million, due to ongoing cost benefits and savings from changes to the group's operating model.
On the other hand, the information technology sector struggled, shedding more than 1%, ahead of the US consumer price index report for December.
