Hershey, Again, Names a New Executive to Run Its Candy Unit -- Market Talk

1651 ET - Hershey picked a new leader for its core candy business, naming a Keurig Dr Pepper veteran to the role during a tumultuous time for the chocolate icon. Starting next month, Andrew Archambault will lead Hershey's U.S. confection division, Hershey said. The appointment marks the latest change in Hershey's top ranks and comes as the Pennsylvania chocolatier is grappling with a slew of challenges, from soaring cocoa prices to weaker demand and heightened scrutiny over processed food. In December, a previous executive handpicked to run Hershey's candy division quit three months into the job, leaving Michele Buck, Hershey's CEO, to assume those duties. Hershey announced on Friday that Buck would step down as president and CEO next June. Hershey also named a new president of salty snacks on Monday. Both executives assume their roles in February, Hershey said. (jesse.newman@wsj.com)
