Investing.com -- Bank of America maintained its "buy" rating on Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (NYSE:HPE) with a price target of $26, given a strong AI demand and favourable IT spending outlook for 2025.

BofA noted robust AI pipelines, with enterprises running proof-of-concepts to refine use cases. Partnerships with system integrators like Deloitte aim to accelerate AI solution deployment.

Following investor meetings with HPE executives, BofA analyst said “we walked away bullish on bullish on the opportunity around better topline growth, improving margins and solid position to fulfill enterprise and sovereign AI demand”

Management expects the Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR) deal to close in early 2025, with at least $450 million in synergies. BofA anticipates greater savings due to past success by CFO Marie Myers in delivering cost efficiencies.

HPE's shift to higher-margin Gen 11 servers and a competitive AI server market are improving profitability. However, storage demand has yet to reflect AI-driven benefits.

The brokerage views 2025 as a turning point for IT spending, supported by enterprise interest in generative AI transformation. HPE remains well-positioned to capitalize on these trends.
