Augustus Minerals (ASX:AUG) said rock chips collected during a field trip to the St Patrick's Well prospect, within the Music Well project in Western Australia, yielded high-grade assays of up to 30 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Results from 10 rock chips were collected in December 2024, with all samples of vein quartz assaying greater than 0.9 g/t of gold, 30.4 g/t of gold, and 20.4 g/t of gold, the filing said.
An artificial intelligence-enhanced targeting study is underway to synthesize historical and recently acquired data into an integrated model, with results expected in the first quarter of the year, per the filing.
Shares fell 2% in afternoon trade Friday.
