Ampol endured a tough 2024, dealing with soft crack spreads and outages at its refinery in Australia's Queensland state, but yesterday's 4Q update pointed to a recovery in its Lytton Refiner Margin. Jefferies analyst Michael Simotas says Ampol's other businesses continue to perform well, highlighting the strong performance of its Convenience Retail division despite fragile consumer confidence and sales of illicit tobacco.
