1411 ET - Electronic Arts reporting a weak performance for "Dragon Age: The Veilguard" is less surprising than its similar update on EA Sports FC 25, the latest in its flagship soccer series, but no less concerning, Raymond James analysts say in a research note. The game's launch was lackluster and with EA saying its player base tracked about 50% below internal expectations, it's hard to see the game as "anything other than a big miss," the analysts say. The new Dragon Age got strong critical reviews in the lead-up to its launch, offering hope that EA's Bioware studio was returning to form, but its poor performance calls Bioware's future projects into question, the analysts say. Raymond James cuts EA shares to market perform. EA is off 17%. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
