BYD (SHE:002594, HKG:1211) expects to complete its $1 billion plant at an industrial complex in Subang, West Java at the end of 2025, Reuters reported Monday, citing the head of its local unit.
The Indonesian plant will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 electric vehicle units, according to the report.
Eagle Zhao, BYD's president director in Indonesia, said the new plant will produce its first cars soon after construction is finished, Reuters wrote.
