Beacon Minerals (ASX:BCN) started a diamond drill program at the Iguana deposit to advance mine development within the Lady Ida project in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The eight-hole program will target known mineralization zones below the existing pit floor and provide core for geotechnical work, geological assessment and further metallurgical test work, with results expected in the second quarter of the year, the filing said.
