RATP Dev, which operates and maintains transportation systems on five continents, has formed a consortium with ComfortDelGro C52 Transit have formed a consortium to bid for the Copenhagen Metro operations, according to a joint release issued on Jan 21.

The consortium will also bid for the metro’s maintenance contract tender that will be issued later this year by Public Transport Authority Metroselskabet.

This is the third collaboration between RATP Dev and ComfortDelGro, where both companies tap on their expertise and local knowledge to deliver rail projects and asset management services.

The pair previously worked together, as part of the ORA consortium with Alstom, to manage the Greater Paris Metro’s automated Line 15 South. They have also worked together to operate and maintain the new Jurong Region Line in Singapore.

The partnership was welcomed by both RATP Dev’s deputy CEO, Mehdi Sinaceur and ComfortDelGro’s managing director and group CEO Cheng Siak Kian.

Shares in ComfortDelGro closed 2 cents lower or 1.42% down at $1.39 on Jan 21.
