More Money In The Bank For Tempus AI Insiders Who Divested US$80m

While Tempus AI, Inc (NASDAQ:TEM) shareholders have enjoyed a good week with stock up 50%, they need remain vigilant. The fact that insiders chose to dispose of US$80m worth of stock in the past 12 months even though prices were relatively low could be indicative of some anticipated weakness.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Tempus AI Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the insider, Kimberly Keywell, sold US$80m worth of shares at a price of US$41.00 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (US$47.64). We generally consider it a negative if insiders have been selling, especially if they did so below the current price, because it implies that they considered a lower price to be reasonable. While insider selling is not a positive sign, we can't be sure if it does mean insiders think the shares are fully valued, so it's only a weak sign. We note that the biggest single sale was only 12% of Kimberly Keywell's holding.
