Zomato (NSE:ZOMATO, BOM:543320) witnessed a sharp decline in its consolidated attributable profit to 590 million Indian rupees in the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2024 against 1.38 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share contracted to 0.06 rupees compared with 0.16 rupees, according to a Monday filing to the Indian stock exchanges by the food delivery platform. The EPS was much lower than the 0.25 rupees estimated by the analysts polled by Visible Alpha.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q3, however, increased to 54.0 billion rupees from 32.9 billion rupees a year earlier. This was lower than Visible Alpha's estimate of 53.1 billion rupees.
