CRC Group adds Jencap’s Ward as an inside broker within National Construction Practice Group

By Mia MacGregor

Jan 24 - (The Insurer) - CRC Insurance Services has continued to expand its National Construction Practice Group with the addition of former Jencap executive as an inside broker.

Based in New York, Ward joins CRC Group after serving six years as a senior vice president at Jencap.

Her previous experience includes three years in various roles at Aon and five years at PG Genatt Group.

Earlier this month, CRC Group hired former Brown & Riding casualty producer and shareholder Andrew Grim as senior vice president of casualty, adding to its national construction practice group.

On Monday, Brown & Riding CEO Jeff Rodriguez said he regretted previous “gracious comments” regarding the departure of casualty producer and shareholder Andrew Grim and that the wholesaler would “aggressively enforce” his contractual obligations.

CRC Group CEO Neil Kessler has previously emphasised the firm’s focus on people, platform and partnerships, while it has also made a long-awaited return to M&A.

The firm has been touting its newfound independence following the spin off of TIH from its former parent Truist Financial Corp in a deal led by Stone Point and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, and the subsequent divestment by the new owners of retailer McGriff to Marsh.

Speaking to The Insurer TV at the WSIA Annual Marketplace in September, Kessler said that while the firm was looking to execute M&A, “organic growth has got to be the lifeblood of our organisation”.

“And we’re very committed to that through producing, recruiting and general sales growth.”
