MW Will Tom Brady sell his $150 million 'Billionaire bunker' mansion in Miami?
By Charlie Lankston
The former New England Patriots quarterback has plowed millions of dollars into an extensive gut renovation of the home.
NFL legend Tom Bradyis reportedly "looking to sell" his famed mansion on Miami's Indian Creek Island for the jaw-dropping price of $150 million, just months after he completed a years-long renovation on the home.
The 47-year-old purchased his home inside the exclusive gated community-known to many as "Billionaire Bunker" because of its ultrawealthy residents-for a hefty $17 million in 2020, when he was still married to supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
However, in the years since, the former New England Patriots quarterback has plowed millions of dollars into an extensive gut renovation of the home, which has only recently been completed.
Brady's plans for the property essentially saw him demolishing the existing structure to make way for a modern dwelling, which the Fox Sports commentator has proudly been showing off in a series of social media posts in recent months.
Yet, while the football superstar appeared very happy with his expansive bachelor pad, Bloomberg now reports that Brady is "weighing the sale" of the home, claiming he has "already received bids valuing it at more than $150 million."
Sources familiar with the matter added that the megamansion is "being shown to a small group of potential buyers," indicating that any future deal would be made off market.
Realtor.com has contacted Brady's spokesperson for comment.
Should Brady decide to sell-and manage to find a buyer willing to pay $150 million for his home-it would become the most expensive single-family property ever sold in the Miami area, a record that is currently held by Ken Griffin, who paid $107 million for his mansion in Coconut Grove back in 2022.
However, Bloomberg notes that any discussions Brady is having regarding the value of his home or a potential sale do not "guarantee" he will end up offloading it.
Still, a sale would mark the start of a new chapter in the athlete's life-particularly given that he first bought the property in 2020 during his marriage to Bündchen, reportedly with plans to build a home that would serve as a base for their family.
But before work on the home could be completed, Brady and Bündchen announced that they were divorcing in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.
Per their divorce settlement, Brady held on to the Indian Creek property, while his former spouse moved into her own Miami abode-a stunning $11.5 million mansion that sits just across the bay from her ex-husband's dwelling.
It is not just Brady's personal life that has gone through something of a transformation in the years since he picked up his "Billionaire Bunker" home. At the time of the property purchase, he had just signed on to play with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, having spent almost the entirety of his football career with the Patriots.
His contract, which was worth a reported $50 million, spanned two years-with Brady announcing his retirement from the sport in February 2021, only to then backtrack six weeks later, confirming that he would play a third season with the Buccaneers.
One year later, he announced his retirement for a second time, insisting on this occasion that he was quitting "for good."
However, Brady has not cut ties with the NFL altogether, instead taking on a different role within the sport-this time as a commentator for Fox Sports, a role that has sparked a fair amount of controversy of late.
Having inked a 10-year contract with the network worth a reported $375 million, Brady faced calls to resign over claims that he had a conflict of interest because of his role as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
It has been suggested by his critics that the player-turned-pundit should be sacked by Fox Sports, with some insisting that he cannot remain impartial in his commentary, particularly after it was revealed that he had been heavily involved in the recruitment of a new head coach for the Raiders.
Brady issued a response to the criticism during an appearance on FS1 show, "The Herd," telling host Colin Cowherd that he has no plans to step down from his commentator position any time soon.
"I don't know where it comes from," he said when asked about the rumors that he is leaving Fox Sports. "I've had the best time at Fox, and I've loved every time going into the booth and working with such great people."
He added that, if he has things his way, he may end up staying with the network for longer than the decade that his contract covered.
"I've got nine years left on my deal and maybe longer, you never know ..." he said. "If Fox wants me and I want to go [on], we'll just keep going, cause it's been really fun thus far."
It's unclear whether the intense travel schedule involved in his Fox role might have had an impact on Brady's alleged decision to mull over a potential sale of his Indian Creek home-or whether he was motivated by the soaring prices of properties in the exclusive community.
Certainly Brady stands to make a hefty profit on his "Billionaire Bunker" pad if he can sell it for anywhere near the $150 million estimate-even after he poured millions into the construction of a brand-new home.
While he has yet to share a glimpse at the property's interiors, the images and videos that he has posted from his backyard hint that the newly constructed mansion, which sits on a 1.84-acre plot, boasts a wealth of luxurious amenities.
In one image of the home itself, which he shared in November, the angular modern structure could be seen reflecting the sun's pink rays, turning coral in the light.

Meanwhile, a second photo, which was taken at sunrise, showed Brady's view of Biscayne Bay from the backyard of his home.
Another image shared in September featured a beautiful sunset view of his pool, as well as the modern cabana-style structure that sits at one end of it, offering shade from the blazing Miami sun and a place for Brady to relax with friends.
In March, he shared a snap of his shimmering pool, captioning the photo: "Home is where the heart is."

The zero-entry pool was surrounded by lounge chairs, sun umbrellas, and a fire pit-all set about a gray stone patio. The sleek, white building behind him offered a glimpse of his enormous contemporary mansion, a design marvel.
Indian Creek Island has always been considered as one of Miami's most exclusive neighborhoods; however, in recent years it has seen a huge influx of high-profile residents, including Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, as well as Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez.
The artificially constructed barrier island holds just 41 residential properties, most of which sit along the edge of the 300-acre area. It is considered to be one of the most affluent and private communities in the world.

Indian Creek Island has its own police force and can be accessed by one bridge, which has a checkpoint. Only residents and their permitted guests are allowed onto the island.
Many of the existing homes on the island have been bought up and renovated extensively, with Trump and Kushner completing an incredible overhaul of their $24 million megamansion earlier this year. The couple bought the home in April 2021.

Meanwhile, Bezos and Sanchez are understood to have purchased three different properties on the island with a view of turning them into one enormous compound.
Most recently, he purchased a $90 million six-bedroom mansion in an off-market deal. He is reportedly using that property as his current residence while work on his other two homes (which cost $68 million and $79 million, respectively) is completed.
