Nexgen Energy (ASX:NXG) began a 43,000-meter exploratory drill program to further test the extent and growth of mineralization recently identified at Patterson Corridor East in Canada, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

Initial results showed vein-type uranium mineralization intersected within competent basement rock, the filing said.

The current program will test the mineralized footprint, investigate high-grade zones, and determine the potential of the area for further mineralization, per the filing.
