Fox (FOX) is targeting to launch a direct-to-consumer streaming service by the end of 2025, Chief Executive Lachlan Murdoch said Tuesday on the company's fiscal Q2 earnings call, according to a FactSet transcript.
Murdoch did not provide many details regarding the upcoming streaming service but said the company has no plans of turning a traditional distribution customer into a direct-to-consumer one. "And so our subscriber expectations will be modest and we're going to price the service accordingly," the executive said.
Shares were over 4% higher in recent trading.
