--The meeting was arranged before Christmas after Mittal's acquisition of his shareholding from French billionaire Patrick Drahi received regulatory clearance, the Financial Times says.
--This is seen as a sign that Mittal will be much more involved in the telecoms operator's strategy than Drahi was, the Financial Times reports.
--BT declined to comment on this week's meetings when approached by the Financial Times.
